Brussels, 19/12/2011 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 19 December, the European Council passed a decision to appoint French national Benoît Coeuré to the European Central Bank Executive Board for eight years, starting on 1 January 2012, replacing Lorenzo Bini Smaghi of Italy, who has resigned but will remain in the job until Coeuré takes over.
