Brussels, 28/11/2011 (Agence Europe) - Pressure from the financial markets and the European Commission has speeded up the talks to set up a government in Belgium more than 530 days after the June 2010 general elections. The six parties, negotiating a coalition government under French-speaking Socialist Elio Di Rupo, announced on Saturday 26 November that they had reached agreement on the country's budget for 2012, which aims to cut the public deficit to below 3% of GDP in 2012.
