19/07/2011 (Agence Europe) - European Commission recommends adoption of three ECE/UN regulations. On Thursday 14 July, the European Commission presented a proposal for a decision inviting the EU Council to approve a draft regulation of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (ECE/UN) concerning the safety of pedestrians, and a draft regulation concerning light emitting diode (LED) light sources. It also presented, on Monday 18 July, a proposal for a Council decision on accession of the Union to ECE/UN Regulation No 29, on uniform provisions concerning the approval of vehicles with regard to the protection of the occupants of the cab of a commercial vehicle.
