Franck Proust officially took up his position as a member of the European Parliament at the opening of the plenary session in Strasbourg on Monday 4 July. He succeeds Dominique Baudis who resigned to take up another role in France. Proust who was on the UMP list in 2009, joins the EPP Group. (Gp/transl.rt)
