Brussels, 06/06/2011 (Agence Europe) - Croatia has taken a further step towards the conclusion of its accession negotiations at a negotiating conference in Brussels on Monday 6 June which saw the fisheries chapter closed. In all, Croatia has completed 31 of the 35 chapters up for negotiation. Still to be finalised are judiciary and fundamental rights, competition, budget, and “other issues”. The aim shared by the EU and Croatia is for all accession talks to be completed before the end of the month. “A further accession conference is planned this month with a view to finalising the accession negotiations”, said a Council of Ministers press release of 6 June.
