01/06/2011 (Agence Europe) - New EU Financial support to Ukraine. On Tuesday, 31 May, the European Commission announced that €17 million will be allocated to the Ukraine to fund local development projects. This new support (which comes on top of the €12 million granted to micro-projects in the Crimea) aims to increase cooperation with the Ukrainian authorities, whilst expanding aid, “beyond Kiev to Ukrainian citizens as a whole”, explained European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Füle, following his meeting in Brussels with Andriy Klyuev, Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Economic Development and Trade.
