Ryszard Legutko of Poland, Timothy Kirkhope of the UK and the Czech Jan Zahradil are the three candidates in contention for the leadership of the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) of the European Parliament. The elections will be held on 8 March. The group is to choose the successor to its Polish President Michal Kaminski, who stepped down on 30 January. (A.By./transl.fl)
