07/01/2011 (Agence Europe) - Loan in sight for Bolloré group for developing electrical energy storage systems. The European Investment Bank (EIB) is to grant, on Monday 10 January, a loan to the French group Bolloré for funding the development of electrical energy storage systems, in particular for applications in electric vehicles, and management of safety solutions for the movement of people and goods. The project will serve to improve the promoter's electric battery and identification systems technology and bring environmental benefits, particularly in terms of reducing CO2 emissions from electric vehicles. The EIB loan amounts to around €100 million. The total cost of the project amounts to €220 million. (O.L./transl.jl)
