Brussels, 09/12/2010 (Agence Europe) - The Lorenzo Natali Prize for the Mediterranean and Middle East has been awarded this year to Egyptian journalist Manar Attiya Salem, who works for the daily Al-Ahram. She received the award for her article on forced marriages of minors, and will receive a prize of €5,000. The Lorenzo Natali Prize was set up by the European Commission in 1992 to recognise journalists who contribute to the cause of human rights, democracy and development. (F.B./transl.rt)
