22/11/2010 (Agence Europe) - Bank support for infrastructure projects. The European Investment Bank (EIB) said last week that it was to continue to support infrastructure and construction projects in the Netherlands. The confirmation of the commitment came on Wednesday 17 November, when a Bank delegation, led by Simon Brooks, EIB Vice-President responsible for lending activities in the Netherlands, met representatives of the leading Dutch construction companies. The talks, hosted by industry group Bouwend Nederland at their Zoetermeer headquarters, were initiated by the Dutch Ministries of Finance, Infrastructure and the Environment with the aim of looking at ways that the European Investment Bank could support future public and private infrastructure projects in the Netherlands.
