10/11/2010 (Agence Europe) - 15 years of “Leonardo da Vinci”. This autumn, the European Union will celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Leonardo da Vinci vocational training programme. The European Commission invests €240 million a year in this programme to support the mobility of people in training, organise training and help to update systems in 31 countries. In 2009, more than 80,000 people received Leonardo da Vinci aid for training outside their home country. Since it was set up in 1995, the programme has helped more than 600,000 people and has been behind 110,000 training visits and 3,000 projects to help modernise vocational training. (I.L./transl.fl)
