Transport ministers give go-ahead to strengthening free movement of goods using maritime transport

Brussels, 17/09/2010 (Agence Europe) - EU transport ministers gave their agreement of principle, on Thursday 16 September, to triggering the first pilot project as part of the “Blue Belt” programme proposed by the Belgian Presidency of the EU Council of Ministers (EUROPE 10216). Announced by Belgian Secretary of State for Mobility Etienne Schouppe, who chaired the informal meeting of transport ministers in Antwerp on Thursday, the project aims to facilitate maritime short distance goods...
