Brussels, 02/08/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 30 July, the European Investment Bank (EIB) signed two loans for a total amount of 150 million euros in support of small and medium-sized businesses in Turkey. The two EIB loans of EUR 75 million each went to Akbank and Halk Bank. They consist of a combination of EIB funds (80%) and European Union non-reimbursable aid (20%) to be lent on under favourable conditions to smaller Turkish companies.
