23/06/2010 (Agence Europe) - At dawn on Tuesday 22 June, British, German, French and Hungarian police, coordinated by Europol and Eurojust, arrested around 30 people suspected of belonging to a Vietnamese immigration network. Forty two different premises were raided and 66 immigrants were found. The network was attempting to illegally bring Vietnamese nationals into the United Kingdom. According to the French minister for immigration, the illegal persons, passing through Eastern Europe, had been hidden in miniscule hiding places in coaches, before being transported by ferry or boats that had been specially chartered. These arrests are the results of a European wide investigation that began 14 months ago. (C-C.G./transl.fl)
