Hedge funds directive vote postponed until end of September

Brussels, 23/06/2010 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has decided to postpone the vote on the draft directive for framing hedge funds companies, to the second plenary session in September. Jean-Paul Gauzès (EPP, France), the European Parliament rapporteur on this dossier, informed our publication on Wednesday 23 June that “this comes as no surprise. We've been stalling”. The Council's wish to close this dossier before the end of the summer will therefore not be granted. The...
