07/05/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 5 May 2010, the European Commission ended two infringement proceedings against the Czech Republic over infringement of two anti-discrimination directives, Directive 2000/43/EC on racial and ethnic origin discrimination and Directive 2000/78/EC on equal treatment in employment. The Czech Republic has now changed its legislation to conform with the EU rules, as a result of the launch of infringement proceedings by the Commission. (G.B.)
