Kiev to cautiously consider Russian proposal of merging Ukrainian Naftogaz and Russian Gazprom

Brussels, 06/05/2010 (Agence Europe) - Kiev is to cautiously consider the proposal made at the end of last week by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin with a view to merging the Ukrainian energy company, Naftogaz, with the Russian gas giant, Gazprom, the Ukrainian energy minister, Yuriy Boyko, told the press after a meeting with European Energy Commissioner Günther Oettinger, on Thursday 6 May in Brussels. “I explained to the commissioner that a proposal on such a level must consider...
