Monday's Council will seek progress on EEAS but no formal decision expected - Debate on citizens' initiative

Brussels, 23/04/2010 (Agence Europe) - Putting in place the new European External Action Service (EEAS) will dominate discussions at the General Affairs Council which will meet in Luxembourg on Monday afternoon 26 April. The Council will be chaired by Miguel Ángel Moratinos and will be attended by High Representative Catherine Ashton. Ministers will also discuss the Commission proposal on the citizens' initiative and will take stock of preparation of the Europe 2020 economic strategy. Below...
