Changes to current financial rules linked to creation of European External Action Service

Brussels, 26/03/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 24 March, the European Commission adopted a proposal for changes to the current financial rules in order to take account of the creation of the European External Action Service (EEAS). The changes are mainly linked to the status of the EEAS - an autonomous institution with its own administrative budget for which it will be accountable to the European Parliament.
