15/03/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 12 March, the European Commission gave clearance to the proposed concentration whereby the undertakings WABCO Europe BVBA (Belgium), belonging to the WABCO group (United States), and RuC Holding GmbH (Austria), belonging to the Würth group (Austria), acquire joint control of the undertaking WABCO Würth Workshop Services GmbH (Germany) by way of purchase of shares in a newly created company constituting a joint venture. The business activity of the WABCO group is in safety and control systems for commercial vehicles, while the Würth group has business activities in the area of fixing and assembly materials. WABCO Würth Workshop Services GmbH will supply multi-brand diagnostics systems for commercial vehicles. (O.L./transl.jl)
