Jean-Paul Gauzès wants to ban credit default swap speculation

Brussels, 12/03/2010 (Agence Europe) - Member states will try and reach agreement in principle on Tuesday 16 March on the draft EU directive on alternative fund management, while European Parliament rapporteur Jean-Paul Gauzès (EPP, France) is negotiating a draft compromise deal with the other political parties ahead of a vote by the EP's economic and financial affairs committee on Monday 12 April.
