France wants to keep restrictions on choice of country of registration of prospectus describing securities

Brussels, 18/02/2010 (Agence Europe) - France is against the removal of the €1,000 threshold contained in the prospectus directive (2003/71/EC) above which an issuer of securities can currently choose the member state of registration of the single information document - or prospectus - describing securities, other than capital, issued on a stock exchange. “Most member states want a return to the threshold, said a European diplomat.
