15/12/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 15 December, the European Commission authorised the loan of 40.5 million zlotys (around 10 million euros) which the government intends to make to the company Tarchominskie Zak³ady Farmaceutyczne «POLFA» S.A. for restructuring purposes. The Commission reached the conclusion that the aid was in line with its 2004 guidelines on rescue and restructuring aid: the sum of the aid is limited to what is strictly necessary to implement the restructuring plan, compensatory measures are in place to avoid undue competition distortions and the restructuring plan is appropriate to guarantee the long-term viability of the business.
