Herman Van Rompuy wants return to less formal European Summits which give EU political guidelines

Brussels, 11/12/2009 (Agence Europe) - At the dinner on Thursday evening, the new full-time President of the European Council, Belgian Herman Van Rompuy set out for the 27 heads of state and government the way he hopes to organise European Council discussions from 1 January 2010, the date on which he officially takes up his new post.
