11/12/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 11 December, the European Commission announced the addition of two denominations for agricultural and food products on the list of protected designations of origin (PDO) and protected geographical indications (PGI). These are the Italian products “Marrone di Caprese Michelangelo” (chestnut - PDO) and “Pomodorino del Piennolo del Vesuvio” (tomato - PGI).
