12/11/2009 (Agence Europe) - In a resolution adopted on Thursday 12 November, the European Parliament voices opposes adoption of the draft Commission decision regarding the Progress annual plan of work for 2010 and the list of activities by policy section. As MEPS have not completed scrutiny of the Commission proposals aimed at establishing a European microfinance facility in favour of employment and inclusion (microfinance facility Progress), they consider the Commission should refrain from adopting the specific measures concerning the financial allocation of Progress until the legislative process on the microfinance facility has been concluded. MEPs therefore call on the Commission to withdraw the draft decision regarding the Progress annual plan of work for 2010 and the list of activities by policy section, and to submit a new one to the committee as soon as the European Parliament, Council and Commission have reached an agreement on the Commission's proposal to the European Parliament and the Council (COM(2009)0333) and its amended proposal (COM(2009)0340).
