26/10/2009 (Agence Europe) - Croatia and Slovenia may be about, very rapidly, to sign an arbitration agreement on their border dispute, Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor is reported by AFP as saying on Monday 26 October, before a further meeting in Zagreb with his Slovenian counterpart Borut Pahor. “I am sure that we will successfully complete this last step and I will then be able … to seek and be given the approval of the Croatian parliament to sign this agreement,” Kosor added. At the start of October, Croatia resumed EU accession negotiations, after agreeing with Slovenia to put their border dispute to international arbitration. Completion of accession talks in the course of 2010 could see Croatia joining the EU in 2011. (L.C./transl.rt)
