06/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - According to the Finance Director of the consortium Nord Stream, Paul Corcoran, the construction of a gas pipeline which is to bring Russian gas to Germany under the Baltic Sea should start in April 2010 with a view to initial supply in 2011. The Nord Stream is in its final phase preceding its construction, with the cross-border public consultation process which was launched in March of this year, in the nine Baltic shore countries (Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia and Sweden), and which was scheduled to conclude in June (EUROPE 9863).
