16/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - The 4the European Conference on “Challenges and opportunities for craft and small enterprises in the European Single Market”, is organised by the European Commission in Stuttgart for 16 and 17 April 2007. Work will be on: - skills for the future, developing new markets and improving the business environment against the background of globalisation, demographic change and technological developments. Conclusions are expected to be adopted at the end of the deliberations. Participants at the conference will include: Angela Merkel, President of the EU Council; Commissioner Vice-President Günter Verheugen; Michael Glos, German Minister for Economics and Technology; and Günther H. Oettinger, Prime Minister of the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg. (ol)
