14/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - In a letter to EU Council President Erkki Toumioja, the members of the Socialist Group of the European Parliament, Hannes Swoboda, Jan Marinus Wiersma and Wolfgang Kreissl-Dörfler call on EU foreign ministers to tackle the question of CIA secret prisons at their next meeting (scheduled 15 September: EUROPE 9264). President Bush has admitted that such prisons do indeed exist as part of the US' fight against terrorism. EUROPE will return to the hearing of Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos during the evening of 14 September at the EP temporary committee on this affair.
