28/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Association Confrontations Europe, chaired by former MEP Philippe Herzog, is to hold in Paris, on 7 July, a conference-debate on the European film industry. Participants (directors, producers, professors and members of associations like Europa Cinema or Eurocinema) will above all look at the difficulties facing the European film industry when it comes to the circulation and diffusion of films and reasons for which certain film types, which contain universal cultural factors, meet with more success. Participants will discuss the contribution that cinema makes in forging national identities, and a round table will be organised under the evocative theme of “Le désir d'Europe existe-t-il au cinéma?”
