30/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament's Committee on Constitutional Affairs last week held an exchange of views on the report by Labour member Richard Corbett, which aims to amend an annex to the regulation with a view to publication of MEPs' register of interests on the Internet. EUROPE recalls that the College of Quaestors should propose that the Bureau publish this on the EP site. With regard to our small article of 17 January, p.14, one well-informed reader and surfer points out to us that the register recently published on the channel 4 site is incomplete and contains a number of errors. We recall that the British TV team has been refused the right to photograpgh the official register and has had to make do with manually copying the MEPs' declarations, often themselves written by hand in any one of the many different official EU languages.
