Concerned by the “gravity of the situation” in Belarus, the Council of Ministers of the EU adopted without debate (on Monday 21 March) a decision extending restrictive measures against certain Belarus leaders. The decision extends sanctions against 19 additional people (freezing assets and a ban on entering EU territory) which were already in force and approved last October (EUROPE 10243). It will enter into force on Tuesday 22 March, following its publication in the EU Official Journal. (A.By./transl.fl).
