16/04/2010 (Agence Europe) - The annual rate of inflation of the eurozone was 1.4% in March 2010, compared to 0.9% in February and 0.6% one year earlier. The monthly rate of inflation was 0.9% in March 2010. In the EU27, the rate was 1.9% in March 2010, compared to 1.5% in February and 1.3% for the same period during 2009. According to figures published by Eurostat on Friday 16 April, the lowest annual rates were noted in Latvia (-4.0%), Ireland (-2.4%) and Lithuania (-0.4%), and the highest were in Hungary (5.7%), Romania (4.2%) and Greece (3.9%).
