The Group of the European People’s Party (Christian Democrats) won the European elections of 6 to 9 June, according to the latest estimates published in the early hours of Monday 10 June. The EPP had 176 seats before the elections, or 24.9% of the total number of MEPs. With 184 seats out of 720, this proportion has risen to 25.56%.
The EPP had lost seats in the three previous elections (2009, 2014, 2019).
