Brussels, 15/10/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament's special committee on the economic and financial crisis held its inaugural meeting in Brussels on Thursday 15 October. At this meeting, German Liberal Wolf Klinz was elected unopposed to the chairmanship of the committee, with four deputy chairs: Iliana Ivanova (EPP, Bulgaria), Liisa Jaakonsaari (S&D, Finland), Pascal Canfin (Greens/EFA, France) and Miguel Portas (GUE/NGL, Portugal).
