Brussels, 25/08/2009 (Agence Europe) - “We hope that, within the UfM (Union for the Mediterranean), more and more countries set up Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZs) and that, together, we can hold a debate to fully protect the Mediterranean,” said French Environment Minister Jean-Louis Borloo on Monday 24 August, after announcing that France had informed the United Nations that it had declared an EEZ in the Mediterranean to better protect fish stocks.
