27/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 27 July, the External Relations Council called for the immediate release of Frenchwoman Clothilde Reiss who is being held in Iran. The Swedish Presidency was asked to make contact with the Iranian authorities to discuss the matter. EU foreign ministers also expressed their deep concern with regard to the human rights situation in Iran. (H.B./transl.rt)
