27/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 27 July, the European Commission granted clearance to the proposed joint venture ICO BLG Automobile Logistics Italia (ICO BLG) of Italy by BLG Automobile Logistics Italia (BLG Italia) of Italy and International Car Operators (Benelux) N.V. (ICO) of Belgium, a subsidiary of NYK Group of Japan. The deal will be enacted through a purchase of shares. BLG is active in logistics services and operates terminals for cars and containers and. NYK is active in shipping, terminal operation, logistics, air cargo and real estate. ICO BLG will operate a car terminal in the port of Gioia Tauro in southern Italy. (O.L./trans/rh)
