27/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 22 July, European Justice Commissioner Jacques Barrot welcomed the fact that all EU countries had now ratified the transatlantic agreements on legal aid and extradition, signed on 25 June 2003. Greece, which was the last of the EU27 to have ratified the agreement, finally did so on 24 June. According to Mr Barrot, the exchange of bilateral ratification instruments should be held in October and enter into force early 2010. (B.C./transl.jl)
