14/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 14 July, the Swedish EU Presidency welcomed the fact that 12 new countries had rallied to the objectives set out in the Council common position 2009/468/CFSP of 15 June 2009. The new common position updates that of 2001 on freezing funds within the Union of persons and entities accused of terrorism (EUROPE 9925). Turkey, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia and Liechtenstein, as well as Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova, Armenia and Georgia will now ensure that their national policies are in line with this common position.
