10/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - On 7 July, the European Commission put forward to the EU Council of Ministers a proposal for a regulation putting in place a definite anti-dumping duty and to collect the provisional duty on imports of wire rod from the People's Republic of China. Following its in-depth investigation, the Commission also recommends closing the
procedure on wire rod imports from Moldova and Turkey since these did not hurt the Community industry. (O.L./transl.rt)
