08/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 8 July, the Commission approved the annual report 2008 on the implementation of the aid programme in favour of the Turkish Cypriot community. This programme aims to facilitate the reunification of Cyprus. An envelope of €259 million has been made available for the implementation of the programme over the period 2006-2011. This money may be used for investments which aim to satisfy EU standards in areas such as water provision, waste water...
