08/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - On 30 June, the European Commission adopted an amended proposal on the labelling of tyres with respect to fuel efficiency and other key parameters. Incorporated within the amended proposal are amendments proposed by the European Parliament in its first reading (for details, see EUROPE 9888) which were acceptable to the Commission, and also technical improvements necessary for changing the format from a directive to a regulation.
