Brussels, 10/06/2009 (Agence Europe) - In the declaration before the plenary committee of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) this Wednesday 10 June, the president of the Committee, Mario Sepi, asked the heads of state and government, meeting in Brussels for their summit on 18 -19 June, to adopt the communication of the Commission on "Shared Responsibility for Employment". This social relaunch plan "sends out a positive message for European civil society, which is currently experiencing great difficulties. As regards employment, the Commission's communication echoes the requests already made by the European Economic and Social Committee, which aim to face up to this extremely serious social and employment crisis being experienced by Europe today".
