04/05/2009 (Agence Europe) - The next CPMR (Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions) Islands Commission General Assembly will be held in Stornoway (Scotland) on 7-8 May. The issue for discussion will be “Territorial cohesion seen from the edge: reducing handicaps, seizing opportunities”. The main themes will be: (1) How best to deal with the permanent and severe handicaps that beset some territories; (2) What are the expectations of the various regions with permanent constraints?
