Brussels, 20/04/2009 (Agence Europe) - Madlen Serban, director of Romania's national education and professional and technical training centre, was appointed as director of the European Training Foundation (ETF, based in Turin, Italy) on Thursday 16 April 2009. After a public recruitment procedure, the ETF management committee selected Madlen Serban from a shortlist of three drawn up by the European Commission. The European Parliament endorsed her election the same day.
