Brussels, 25/03/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has approved an update of legislation on cosmetic products, harmonising and simplifying it and, at the same time, bringing in greater product safety in the interests of consumers, through introduction of minimum standards for safety testing, including of nanomaterials. Nanomaterials, super small materials, are used in many common cosmetic products, but there are questions over the health risks they carry.
