Brussels, 03/03/2009 (Agence Europe) - The Commission announced on Tuesday 3 March that it had appointed a new Head of Representation in Sweden, Pierre Schellekens. He will take up his new duties as of 16 March, 2009. Schellekens joined the European Commission in 1996. From 2004 to 2008, he was Deputy Head of the Private Office of Environment Commissioner Stavros Dimas, before joining DG Maritime Affairs, as Head of Unit for Maritime Policy in the Baltic and North Sea.
