Brussels, 18/02/2009 (Agence Europe) - To fight effectively against sea polluters, the European Parliament's Transport Committee aid that it supported member states being able to impose effective and dissuasive penal sanctions on ships guilty of illegal discharges of contaminant and dangerous substances and on the people who profit from these infringements of Community law: cargo owners and classification societies.
